The Street Café

The Street Café is often built in the Outdoor Lifestyle Centers.  Many locations offer both inside and outdoor seating, based on space and availability. The average location size of a Street Café varies, but ranges from 800-1250 square feet. The average investment for Street Café ranges from $152,300 to $420,000 and is based on the location, size, landlord requirements, as well as other design or architectural fees that may be needed to construct the location. The investment includes the initial $30,000 Franchise Fee as well as from $30,000-60,000 of start-up funds necessary to establish your business. The In-Line Café

The In-Line Café is recognized as a storefront walk-up style of location that is designed to fit into the typical shopping center retail store framework.  These locations can be found in heavy traffic areas of shopping centers.  The average location size varies, but ranges from 500-800 square feet.  The average investment ranges from $152,300 to $420,000 and is based on the location, size, landlord requirements, as well as other design or architectural fees that may be needed to construct the location.  The investment includes the initial $30,000 Franchise Fee as well as from $30,000-60,000 of start-up funds necessary to establish your business.  The Kiosk Cafe 

The kiosk locations often offer the lowest investment and are typically 250-400 square feet. The investment will vary depending on the cost to fabricate the kiosk, the utility expense to bring service to the unit, and the cost to install. These figures will vary based on geography and location. Kiosks are most often found in indoor shopping centers as well as airports, or other similar protected locations. The average kiosk investment ranges from $148,850 to $305,900, and is based on the location, size, landlord requirements, as well as other design or architectural fees that may be needed to prepare the space for the kiosk. Send us your application by filling out a convenient web form, or download the application and fax it to our office. There is no obligation to buy when you fill out the application form, however it does tell us that you have an above average interest in our franchise. When we receive your application along with your resume, your application will be processed in our pre-qualifying committee. A member of our Franchise Development Team will be in contact with you after your application is received.

Receive and Review FDD

We will review your Franchise application and if you complete the first level of qualification, you will be invited to receive our Franchise Disclosure Document ( FDD).  This document contains specific information about the Nestle Toll House Café, the Franchise Agreement, Financial Statements, and a listing of existing Franchisees that you can contact., and other information pertinent to owning a Nestle Toll House Café Franchise. Review the FDD with your attorney or accountant and determine if our opportunity is compatible with your goals, dreams and financial capability.

Prepare the Franchise Agreement

Next, we will prepare the Franchise Agreement and send it to you.  The form has been prepared in compliance with all local and federal regulations governing franchise contracts, which require a standardized agreement for each franchisee.  After the required waiting period, you can submit your signed Franchise Agreement and Franchise Fee to us for final approval by our Executive Committee.  If, for any reason, your Franchise Agreement is not approved, your Franchise Fee will be returned to you immediately.

Secure a Café Location

As a new Nestle Toll House Café Franchisee, you will be provided a number of tools to assist with your evaluation and selection of your café location.  We will provide a site selection form and other documents which will allow you to closely review various location options.  A member of our Real Estate Team will be available to assist with this process and help you find the location that is "just right" for you.  You know what they say.......Location, Location, Location!

 
Begin Store Design and Construction
 
The Design and Construction Department will assist you in assembling your café build team, and then the construction process can begin. Our Franchise Development Manager stays in contact with you throughout the design and construction phase. Our Café Opening Task List (COTL) provides a step by step guideline for this important process and will help keep you on track.

Comprehensive Training

Within two months of your opening, you will attend the Nestle Toll House Café Training course, offered at our corporate headquarters in Richardson, Texas.  This is a comprehensive ten day program where you will learn in a classroom setting as well as "hands on" training at a number of local cafés.  Your visit will give you the full flavor of the Nestle Toll House Café.  BEWARE...eating lots of sweet Nestle treats is an operational hazard!

Grand Opening

Congratulations! Your Café is having its Grand Opening! The Franchise Support team is there to support you during your opening. Marketing tools are utilized to spread the word to the surrounding community to get their mouths watering!
